This is our premiere event for the calendar year – our showpiece that attracts tens of thousands.
Come join us for the parade on
Saturday, March 19, 2022.
APPLY BELOW TO PARTICIPATE IN
A parking and drop off point has been assigned for participants who are on floats or walking with groups ONLY. The Whitlock Golf & Curling Club has graciously allowed us to use its parking lot for this purpose (128 Côte St. Charles, Hudson, Que., J0P 1H0)
The parade will have a shuttle bus leaving the Whitlock parking area and dropping participants at Westwood Senior High School, where all the floats will be assembled. This shuttle will be available from 10 a.m. till 11:30 a.m.
All floats and entries will assemble at Westwood Senior High School at 69 Cote St. Charles. There will be a Parade Marshal instructing your organization as to where to line up. We expect all organizations to be ready at noon.
There is only one access street permitted to line up for the parade. Access is allowed only in the NORTH DIRECTION on Cote St. Charles. Please see attached map as to official directions. Your co-operation will enable everyone to set up in plenty of time, and without unnecessary headaches. Please note that Cote St. Charles will be closed to traffic from 10 a.m. onwards. Only parade participants will be given access to the closed section.
For those participating in the parade, your arrival time at Westwood Senior High School is expected no later than 11 a.m. Please aim to have your float assembled by 11:30 a.m.W
We place a strong emphasis on the safety of participants and spectators.
Any unit that does not conform to the rules and regulations of the Soulanges Irish Society will be removed from the parade. A copy of the rules and regulations will be included with this package. Please read the rules of our expectations.
AT THE END OF THE PARADE
The parade will officially end at the corner of Cameron and St. Jean streets. No one will be allowed to disembark their floats until they reach Cameron and Lakeview. This will allow for better parade flow. There will be a temporary disembarking at the old Medical centre parking.
There will be busses operating to shuttle people from the end point of the parade back to the staging area at Westwood High School.
PLEASE RESPECT AND LISTEN TO ALL PARADE MARSHALS ON THE STREET. THEY WILL BE IN CHARGE OF THE FLOW OF THE PARADE.
