Soulanges Irish Society's St Patrick's Parade Queen Selection Evening

Apply now to be Queen of the Soulanges Irish Society’s
St. Patrick Parade in Hudson 2020

Women between the ages of 18 and 30 of Irish descent are invited to apply. The Queen and her Court will be crowned at the Auberge Willow Inn in Hudson on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. The evening is one of the marquee events leading up to the annual parade, which is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. 

To qualify for Queen, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Have some Irish heritage
- Be a Canadian citizen of the Greater Montreal area
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30
- Willing and available to attend parade functions in Hudson during the weeks leading up to the parade on Saturday, March 21, and be a special guest at the Montreal parade on Sunday, March 22.

Judges will evaluate the contestants on confidence, public speaking, community involvement, community spirit and crowd participation. Each contestant will be asked to respond to one or two questions, which they will be given before the event begins.

The Queen will be awarded several gifts, which will be announced shortly.

Join SIS in the Hudson Christmas Parade

Join the Soulanges Irish Society as we march in the Hudson Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 1. Santa will be wearing red, we will be in green.

The executive of the SIS extends an invitation to all members to join us as we march in the Santa Claus parade, which marks the official start to the Christmas season. The SIS float will feature the Costello Irish Dancers, but we need or members decked out in green to march along and put a little Celtic in this Christmas celebration. 

We will meet beginning at 12:30 p.m. in front of Westwood Senior. The parade starts at 1 p.m.  

This year, we are going to have a Celtic Christmas.
